Useful Resources
Algae are becoming increasingly important for research. Their ability to adapt to almost any environment on the planet is reflected in diverse metabolic pathways and the production of secondary metabolites with broad potential for industry applications. Algae could also play a critical role in climate change mitigation and other applications related to anthropogenic impacts on the environment.
Phycology @ Guelph is an effort to organize and disseminate information on algal research at the University of Guelph. We hope that this will draw attention to this research from within and outside of the University community and help develop collaborations and novel and exciting research directions.
